Hi Class,
My name is Michael VanDeventer (Van-Dee-vent-er) and i am currently attending UAA for the Professional Piloting program, and this is my senior year. I was born and raised in Alaska and am Yupik Eskimo. Before attending UAA, after high school I did 4 years in the Marine Corps. When I left the Marines I didn’t know what I wanted to do at first. Both my father and brother are pilots, so I thought i’d jump on the band wagon. One goal of mine is to graduate and have my commercial pilot cert. and eventually join the family airline Van Air. I am looking forward to taking this class with all of you.
